0000102: Enhance print window of touchscreen apps

The purge button was prominently placed in the middle and the largest of the 3 buttons, so some people often hit it accidently.

The purge function is now no longer represented by a button, but by an additional virtual printer "Do not print labels" (like in the MDE print windows).

0000101: Break bulk picking: enhance presentation of current pick line

All columns of the current pick line are printed in bold to enhance accentuation of the pick. In turn, the planned quantity column of all picks is now emphasized by a larger font instead of bold attribute.

The planned quantitiy is now always displayed, even when it is 0. The missing quantity however is still only displayed when it is greater than 0.

When the physical enter key is pressed twice fast enough, the form submission happens twice resulting in duplicate records being created.

The scripts are ment to be run regularly on a schedule, for example every 5 minutes. The scripts will process all pick data generated by GEKO and TAKO robots and save them in the BPS order trips.

When a large number of items is selected, and then the delete function is called, it takes very long until the confirmation window appears.

It would be acceptable to show the hour glass during this time because it is a very rare case.

The function is located in the stock locations master data application.

After starting, the robot can be selected fron the list and sync is started by OK. All robot stocks (*) of the pickzone first get reset to 0, and then the new stock levels are read from the robot.

The stocks of the selected articles or in the selected stock locations respectively, can be reset to 0. The function includes a selection for the stock change reason, as well as checkboxes for the affected stock types, the stock status, and wether child objects also shall get the stocks resetted.

In 2.5.0 the stock location is built from the first 2 levels of the sale class plus the key of the stock location.

It shall be changed, so the stock location is same as the regular stock location display, however with dots in place of slashes. The reason is, that the 3rd part of the stock location is used as order in the palette building plan, and so must be user definable.

In tree views, the expand button [+] disappears when clicking on another item line. Still the expand works if you click on the place where it ought to be.

Most probably an issue of Qt 4.6.3.

Currently the printer queues are shared between the touchscreen apps. This may lead to accidental double printings when the same user has two different apps open and works by turn in both.

The queues should be separated by apps.

When aborting the zone finishing process, a dialog appears to ask for OK. If you then answer "no", another dialog appears like an error message saying "Finish zone aborted". This message is superfluous and should not be displayed as people may thing the system has an error.

Currently, the inputs are preset exactly with the planned quantity.
It would be better however to calculate and insert the max units.

Example:

Planned = 50 and LU/TU = 48.
Old it would preset the TU input with 50.
New is should preset the LU input to 1 and the TU input to 2.

This basically also applies to the "correction" window, however in practise there would hardly ever be any whole LU's.

Special case: When planned is TU's and LU/TU is 1 it does not make sense to calculate and display LU's because that could confuse, so it would be better to still display the original planned unit in such cases. Same applies when the planned unit is CU's and the factors CU/TU and TU/LU are 1. Here is a possible algorithm:

- If both, LU/TU and CU/TU are each 1, just fill in the OU input as before.
- In other cases calculate max units.
- If LU/TU = 1 and order unit = TU, fill the calculated LU's into TU input
- If CU/TU = 1 and order unit = CU, fill the calculated TU's into CU input

In the touchscreen apps, the purge button is the largest and placed prominently in the middle, so there is a certain risk that people hit it accidently.

Instead, the button should be removed, and instead there should be a dummy printer in the list of printers ("No printing") where the printing would go to /dev/null.

The "missing TU" and "missing LU" columns should be replaced by 3 columns like in BPS V1. Example where the whole LU would have 48 LU's and threshold would be like 75%:

SALE CHANNELS

New tree structured list of sale (distribution) channels, which can be assigned to partners.

PARTNERS

- Sale channel: Drop down input to select the sale (distribution) channel

The tab "Trips" with the trip assignments has been removed.
The function was overtaken by the new "Partners" tab in the trips master data (see below).

PACKAGES

- Packages per layer: # of packages in one layer of the typical container
(for a box this would for example be the palette).
Distinct values for in (reception from vendor) and out (submission to customer).

- Layers per container: # of layers in the typical container.
Distinct values for in (reception from vendor) and out (submission to customer).

TRIPS

The GUI for packages has been redesigned from a simple table, to an explorer list on the left and a tabbed editing area on the right. Tabs include "General" for the general settings and "Partners" with the list of partners served by this trip.

New settings on general page:

- Preload time: The time picking must be finished in advance of the trips departure.
Format = hours.minutes

- LU full threshold: Percentage that a LU must be filled to be handled as full.
LU's below the threshold are subject to further picking in another picking zone.

- Robot work mode: To select the working mode of picking roboters.
Currently either "Order waves" or "LU waves" used for the TAKO roboter.

Columns of partners table:

- Priority: Sorting for certain picking operations (currently only used by the TAKO roboter)

- Partner: Select the partner.

- Handover time: Time the picking must be finished for a certain partner.

- Robot partial LU's: How to handle LU's that are not full.
Either no furter picking, or further manual picking (carton boxes for example).

ARTICLES

- Overdelivery: # of ordered units that may be overdelivered.

- Handling speed: 5 steps from very slow up to very fast.

SQL queries going out of scope are still kept in memory by the script engine, until a garbage collection takes place or the script engine is destroyed. This can lead to oracle server running out of cursors when scripts execute many queries.
